Welcome to the fete for 2007 and what a terrific day out for all the family. What a feast of attractions there are. Glance down the list of them and you will see that there is something for everyone.
The really special attraction this year will be our very own "Air Display". That may be putting it a bit strong but what else do you call a flypast by the Red Arrows and a triple flypast by a Spitfire and a Hurricane of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Fantastic. How many other fetes can do that ?

The real purpose of the fete is to have a good time. Enjoy the attractions and chat to people that you haven't seen for ages. The magic of the fete arrives only once a year, come along and enjoy yourselves in the company of the people who make our village special - people like you !!!
Events like our just don't happen, they demand a lot of effort from a lot of people and about 200 will be involved in the preparation and operation of our annual festivity. They all give their time and energy free and they are all wonderfully cheerful about it. They love it because it is so worthwhile. The pleasure is there to be seen on the faces of the children and the content Mums and Dads. We really do value all of our volunteers; they well deserve our thanks and admiration.
We also owe our thanks to the generosity of all those who have sponsored the fete, donating gifts and advertising in the programme. Please support them whenever you can.
Those not fully in the know may wonder what happens to all of the money that we receive on this super day. Every penny goes into the funds of our Village Hall where it will be used for the maintenance and improvements to this vital and heavily used village facility. Spend, spend, spend - your cash is going to a good cause.
The fete princesses this year are: Daisy Winter-Taylor, Gorgeena Treen and Kirsty Scott.
