Saturday Fight
Night Episode #9
Angel Centre, Tonbridge, Kent
Your commentary team is Chris Freeman and Adam Wheeler.
We begin with Byson making his way down to the ring. Our opening contest of the
show is a Hammerlock Television Title match, with Bryan Campbell defending his
gold against the uncontrollable wildman Byson. Highlights are shown from last
week's TV Title match, where Byson cost Steve Bailey the bout when he belted him
with a steel chair. Bailey arguably had the match and the title won and Byson
ended the show by standing over the battered bodies of Bailey and champion Bryan
Campbell. Will Byson be standing tall again with the TV Title here this evening?
Match highlights:
Byson used his sheer raw power to dominate Bryan Campbell in the early going,
scoring with a vertical suplex, a headbutt and a falcon arrow for a two count.
Byson obliterated Campbell with a spear and went for the Bull Rutt. The Blue
Chipper slid out of dodge though and locked on a sleeper. Byson broke the hold
but the TV Champion took him down with a hard kneelift. Bizarrely, the crowd
inside the Angel Centre appeared to be rallying behind Campbell! Campbell
countered Byson's powerslam attempt with a swinging neckbreaker and then hit a
lung blower. Byson wore Campbell down with a bearhug and then kicked the
champion square in the head. Byson clotheslined Campbell out of the ring, but
The Blue Chipper was able to make it back in as the referee's count reached
nine, avoiding going 1-0 down. Byson executed a belly-to-belly for two. Byson
went for a backdrop but Campbell drilled him with a DDT. Campbell was visibly
unsettled by the mixed reaction he was getting and connected with a full nelson
slam. Campbell missed a flying clothesline and Byson hit a clothesline of his
own and a bodyslam. Byson powerslammed Campbell on the cold steel entrance ramp!
As the bout quickly approached the time limit, Byson broke another Campbell
sleeperhold with a back suplex and executed the Bull Rutt. Byson made the cover
and as the referee's hand was about to hit the mat for a third time, Steve
Bailey appeared at ringside and pulled the official out of the ring!! The
fifteen minutes were now up and Byson had been royally screwed!!

(Bryan Campbell retained the NWA-UK Hammerlock Television Title.)
Bryan Campbell is again so lucky to remain the champion. He took his title and
sneaked to the back while a brawl erupted between Steve Bailey and Byson at
ringside. Byson whipped Bailey hard into the safety railing and charged at him,
but Bailey booted Byson in the face. Byson shook the blow off and roared before
clotheslining Bailey over the guardrail and into the crowd.
The crowd were psyched for the fight between these two bitter arch-rivals as
they brawled through the crowd to the back of the arena. Bailey dented a trash
can over Byson's head with several vicious shots. Byson then tackled Bailey and
the two enemies crashed through a fire exit and out into the streets of
Tonbridge. We go to commercial.
***Commercial break***
We are back and the street brawl between Byson and Steve Bailey is still raging
on. Both men were bleeding as they threw each other into car doors and brick
walls. Officials and road agents were desperately trying to separate the two men
but to no avail. The fight dangerously spilled into the road and Bailey and
Byson were lucky not to be run over. The police then arrived on the scene. The
police officers arrested both men for breach of the peace and handcuffed them.
Bailey and Byson were bundled into separate police cars and taken away.
Ever since Ben Winter made his return to Hammerlock, he has been on a roll. He
has looked extremely impressive in defeating Martyn Sullivan and Jawaid Kaleeq
in recent weeks. Can Winter keep the streak alive tonight against P Xain?
Match highlights:
Ben Winter destroyed P Xain with a vicious clothesline, but failed to follow up
with the Thin Ice ropewalk clothesline. Xain planted Winter with a faceslam and
nailed a spectacular ropeflip moonsault which earned a two count. However, Xain
missed a running somersault plancha when Victoria Silvstedt pulled her man out
of the way and Winter rocked Xain with a double-arm choke slam on the floor. A
Spin Doctor put Xain down for a two count before Winter choked the rapper out
with the Deep Freeze.

It was announced that there will be a bikini contest at Heatwave, featuring the
lovely ladies of Hammerlock. Adam Wheeler almost had a heart attack!
Backstage, Kelly caught up with Bryan Campbell congratulated him on another
successful title defence. Campbell bragged that just like the sun will always
rise and set, he will always be the NWA-UK Hammerlock Television Champion. Kelly
asked what now for the champ. Campbell claimed that there was nobody good enough
left to challenge for his championship. He said that he had beaten everyone and
condescendingly invited Kelly to try her luck against him. Mystikal interrupted
the interview. Campbell warned Mystikal about stealing his camera time and said
that the last time he saw Mystikal, he was losing to no-names from all four
corners of the globe in the Tag Team World Cup. Mystikal said that he was tired
of Campbell's cocky attitude, especially when he was lucky to remain champion
each week. Mystikal said that although Campbell had held the belt for nearly two
months, he was still to impress him. Campbell replied that he didn't care about
Mystikal and he was tired of a nobody like him wasting his precious time.
Mystikal challenged Campbell to put the title on the line against him at
Heatwave and he'd show Campbell that he wasn't a nobody. Campbell accepted and
claimed that as a warm-up for Heatwave, he would go through all of the members
of Goldie Lookin' Chain.
The tag team tournament to determine who gets a title shot at Heatwave continued
next as The Aristocrats face newcomers Hijinx and Shenanigans. Last week,
Fharquar and Potemkin rolled over Goldie Lookin' Chain duo Eggsy and P Xain with
a controversial count-out victory. Shenanigans and Hijinx advanced to the
semi-finals with somewhat of a shock debut win over Dunky and Biscuit.
Match highlights:
The Aristocrats seemed to be looking for another count-out victory in the
tournament, in the same manner that they had eliminated Goldie Lookin' Chain in
the previous round, as Lord Potemkin tried to hit Hijinx with the Cultural
Suplex on the floor. Hijinx blocked it though and hit Potemkin with a back
suplex back in the squared circle. Potemkin executed a Samoan Drop on Hijinx and
then floored him with a Polish Hammer. Hijinx came back with a waistlock suplex
on Cuthbert Fharquar and then rocked him with a rana and a power bomb. Fharquar
took control with a clothesline and hit a somersault slam. Drama then hit the
Angel Centre as Hijinx collapsed. After checking on Hijinx, referee Andrew
Butler told the timekeeper to ring the bell and ended the match. Butler
signalled for EMTs to tend to Hijinx as Shenanigans checked on the condition of
his tag team partner.
[Tag Team Tournament for No.1 Contendership, Semi Final]:
The Aristocrats (Cuthbert D.
Fharquar and Lord J. T. Potemkin III) and
Hijinx and Shenanigans battled to a no contest in 0:08:19.
Hijinx tore his right triceps. He will be out for approximately 8 cards.
Rating: ***
The EMTs, along with Shenanigans, helped Hijinx onto a stretcher and wheeled him
up the ramp to the back. The arena was in a stunned silence. The Aristocrats got
back into character and incited the crowd as a solemn Chris Freeman informed us
that he would talk to Scottie Hero and Junior Jones after the break.
***Commercial break***
The show returned from commercials and Chris Freeman was in the ring. Freeman
let everybody know that Hijinx had been taken to a local medical facility. He
then introduced England's representatives in the Tag Team World Cup, Junior
Jones and Scottie Hero. Jones and Hero came down to the ring and were given a
standing ovation for their efforts in the tournament. Adam Wheeler refused to
applaud the duo as they lost to a couple of Americans. Hero thanked the fans for
their support and claimed that without their backing, they would have gotten
nowhere in the tournament. He knew that some fans had trekked all over Europe
following them and noted that it was their dedication that inspired them. Jones
said he would love another chance to take the World Cup home to England, where
he thought it belonged. Freeman said that a lot of people had been impressed
with their teamwork in the tournament and asked if they would continue to team
together, but they were rudely interrupted by Bass-D and King Matthew's "Get
Retarded" and the entrance of Young Posso Fleeto No.1.
The neds swaggered out into the arena, guzzling down their carry-out of cider.
They were being booed out of the building. Dunky had a microphone and sounding
like he'd swallowed too many cigarettes and burned his tongue into numbness, he
ripped into Hero and Jones' showing at the Tag Team World Cup and branded them
"a couple of pure fannies". Eloquence is not his top priority, needless to say.
The crowd began to chant, "Kill the Neds!". Hero and Jones looked at each other,
shrugged their shoulders and went after the neds. An impromptu tag team match
was soon underway!
Match highlights:
Dunky was on fire to start the match, or maybe just drunk on Buckfast, as he
blasted Scottie Hero with a running forearm and took Junior Jones down with a
flying rana. Hero and Jones displayed some great teamwork, much like they had
shown in the Tag Team World Cup, including Hero superkicking Biscuit into a
backslide by Jones. Jones executed a dragon suplex on Dunky for a near fall.
Hero and Jones utilised more crisp double team manoeuvres to overwhelm the neds.
Biscuit picked up a two count with a top-rope Frankensteiner on Jones and again
with an inverted power bomb. Biscuit went for a shooting star press, but Jones
pulled his knees up to protect himself from the blow. Hero hit a reverse
neckbreaker on Dunky and dropped Biscuit with another superkick. The
International Bright Young Thing Junior Jones then executed the Leaping Swinging
DDT on Dunky for the victory.
Junior Jones and Scottie Hero defeated
Young Posso Fleeto No.1 (Biscuit and Dunky) when J. Jones pinned Dunky with the
Leaping Swinging DDT in 0:09:31.

Hammerlock president Peter Abram was standing by as the show returned. Abram
addressed Byson and Steve Bailey and angrily stated that after their arrest
tonight, they had heaped embarrassment upon the company. He said that both men
would spend the night in the cells. Abram said that because Byson and Bailey
hate to be separated, he was going to put them in a match where they are
literally joined together in an attempt to end their feud. He booked Byson vs.
Steve Bailey in a Dog Collar Match for Heatwave, where the bout ends only by
pinfall or submission and falls count anywhere!
Chris Freeman and Adam Wheeler put over the levels of carnage and violence that
the Dog Collar Match would bring. It was then time for the remaining semi final
in the tag team tournament and the chance to face The Aristocrats next week in
the final. The New Young Lions earned their spot with a tremendous win over the
ridiculous Team Buddies, while The Bodysnatchers advanced over the Circus Act
clowns last Monday on Hammerlock TV. Let's hope for a better finish than the
last semi final.
Match highlights:
Kyle Coulbourne scored with a reverse neckbreaker on Blair and then rattled his
jaw with a superkick. The Bodysnatchers sent Brandon Alvarez high into the
lights with a double backdrop and Burke used the ropes to choke Alvarez out.
Alvarez dropped Burke with a spinning leg lariat but Burke returned fire with a
front-layout suplex on Alvarez. Coulbourne got Burked, but Alvarez was there to
make the save for his partner. Coulbourne executed a swinging neckbreaker on
Blair and followed up with a slingshot somersault splash. Blair piledrove
Coulbourne for a very close two count. Coulbourne laid Blair out with a spinning
DDT and then the New Young Lions used the Double Flatliner for a place in the
final against the Aristocrats next week!
[Tag Team Tournament for No.1 Contendership, Semi Final]:
The New Young Lions (Brandon Alvarez and Kyle Coulbourne) defeated
The Bodysnatchers (William Burke and William Blair) when K. Coulbourne pinned
Blair after the Double Flatliner in 0:08:33.
Rating: ** 3/4
The New Young Lions celebrated in the ring in front of the delighted fans after
the bell. The Aristocrats crept into the ring, but the crowd warned Alvarez and
Coulbourne and they turned around just before Fharquar and Potemkin could sneak
attack them! The New Young Lions and The Aristocrats had a staredown as the show
ended.
Circuit information:
Hijinx’s horrific injury this evening was diagnosed as a tear of his right
triceps. It should not require surgery though and Hijinx hopes to be back in the
ring in about two months. We wish him all the best in his recovery. The
Hammerlock injury list does not end there though, as Martyn Sullivan will be on
the shelf for five weeks after injuring his left knee during the course of a
match with The Punisher. Kontraband will also be out for a further week as he
rests his back before returning to action.
The tag team tournament final will be next week between The New Young Lions and
The Aristocrats. Cuthbert D. Fharquar and Lord Potemkin have been quite
fortunate to progress so far, while Brandon Alvarez and Kyle Coulbourne have
been very impressive throughout their route to the final. It's all on the line
as they do battle for a title shot against the champions at Heatwave.
But who will the champions be? La Cosa Nostra defend the gold against the
Hammersmith Hard Men in a Sicilian Stretcher Match next week in what is rumoured
to be the final match between the two warring teams. And there is talk going
round Hammerlock that company officials have invited Tag Team World Cup winners
Juan Rivera and Miguel Perez Jr. to challenge for our tag team championships
before Heatwave. More on this when we get it.
We also hope to hear from The Punisher next week regarding his response to Jason
Prentice's challenge for Heatwave. Prentice defends the Heavyweight Championship
next week against Ian Powers in what should be a fantastic match-up.
Here's how the Heatwave card is shaping up...
NWA-UK Hammerlock Television Title Match

Byson vs. "Shotgun" Steve Bailey
Anthony DeAngelo (w/ Serenity) vs. Matt Sizemore

you'll tune in! Till then, so long everybody!!
