Hammerlock TV Episode 17

Hammerlock TV Episode #17
Regional Sports Centre, Luton, Bedfordshire
Your commentary team is Chris Freeman and Adam Wheeler.

The announcers began the show by almost wetting themselves over the Dream Partner Tag Team Match main event pitting Heavyweight Champion Jason Prentice and a partner of his choice against his opponent at Back 2 School, The Punisher, and his selection from the entire Hammerlock roster. They agreed that the possibilities over who each man could choose were endless and pondered how to prepare for a match like this with so much uncertainly surrounding it. Chris Freeman then introduced the upcoming tag team match which sees Jawaid Kaleeq and Matt Sizemore teaming up for the first time against Scottie Hero and Junior Jones. Freeman revealed that a huge four corners elimination match had been signed yesterday for Back 2 School which will feature Jawaid "2 Sleeq" Kaleeq, Hiro Kakuhari, Muerte de Antedicho and Ian Powers. Freeman said that this match will have a huge bearing on the TV Title rankings.

Match highlights:
Matt Sizemore started things off with a bang, nailing Junior Jones with a flying cross body press dive. Scottie Hero blocked an early attempt at the Size Matters. Jawaid Kaleeq drilled Hero with a tiger suplex. Kaleeq countered the Last Action Hero with a DDT. Kaleeq picked up the first near fall of the contest with a rolling elbowsmash on Jones and scored another with a German suplex. Kaleeq kicked out of the Junior Jam. Jones countered Sizemore's powerslam with a high cross body for two. Sizemore jack-knifed Hero for a two count. M.J. and Emma B then appeared at ringside to scout Matt Sizemore ahead of their match at Back 2 School. As you might expect, this served as a distraction to Sizemore and Hero hit him with a reverse neckbreaker. Sizemore came back with a Michinoku Driver on Hero, but Hero got his foot on the rope. Kaleeq scored with another German suplex on Jones for the match-winning pinfall.

Jawaid Kaleeq and Matt Sizemore defeated Scottie Hero and Junior Jones when
Kaleeq pinned J. Jones after a German suplex in 0:12:57.
Rating: *** 1/4

Jawaid Kaleeq's impressive roll continues here this evening. The number one contender to the TV Title has certainly hit a rich vein of form. M.J. appeared apathetic to Matt Sizemore's performance in the tag team match and left. Sizemore shook his head at the fitness instructor and looked forward to facing M.J. at Back 2 School.

Backstage, Kelly interviewed Jason Prentice, along with Linda O'Neil. Kelly asked the NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Champion who his tag team partner was going to be in the Dream Partner Tag Team Match. Prentice smirked and introduced the NWA-UK Hammerlock Television Champion Bryan Campbell! Prentice said that Campbell would be his partner and claimed that it didn't matter who The Punisher picks to team with him, because he and Campbell are the two greatest wrestlers in Hammerlock. The Blue Chipper added that the Campbell-Prentice team is unbeatable.

A video building-up the I Quit Loser Leaves Hammerlock between Byson and Steve Bailey was shown. Footage then rolled of Byson's attack on the Goldie Lookin' Chain last Saturday night which only ended when Bailey made the save. That led to Mike Balls challenging Byson to a match for tonight.

Match highlights:
Byson went for a powerslam but Mike Balls managed to counter with a vicious lariat. Byson scored with a DDT and a power bomb for two. Byson went crashing to the ringside floor after Adam Hussain pulled the top rope down on him, but Mike Balls missed the follow-up tope. Byson threw Balls into the ring steps and then hurled The Maggot over the guardrail! Back in the ring, Balls hit a backdrop driver for a two count. Byson fired back with piercing chops and executed a spinebuster. Byson then applied the keylock for the win via tap out.

Byson made Mike Balls submit to an armlock hammerlock submission in 0:07:02.

[Adam Hussain interfered against Byson.]

Byson kept the hold locked on after the bell before finally releasing it. Adam Wheeler remarked that nobody had yet escaped Byson's painful submission hold and thought that if Steve Bailey gets trapped in it on Saturday, especially with his injured arm, it could be the last time we see him in Hammerlock.

Backstage, Kelly caught up with The Punisher and inquired about the identity of his tag team partner for tonight's main event. The Punisher remarked that since Jason Prentice cannot beat him and since Bryan Campbell is Prentice's partner, then he picked the man that Campbell can't beat - Devon Ferrari! The Dream Partner Match is set - it will be Jason Prentice and Bryan Campbell vs. The Punisher and Devon Ferrari!

"Only" by Nine Inch Nails played in the arena and out came the newest addition to the Hammerlock roster, computer geek Will Gates. Gates is a mathematician, a cryptologist and a programmer and was a former university professor. Gates lost his job when he was alleged to be the mastermind of a hacker gang that stole $10 million from Citibank's cash management computer system. Gates is an accomplished amateur wrestler, but how much grappling will he be able to do here in his Hammerlock debut against the brawler Gaz Phillips?

Match highlights:
Will Gates executed a flawless double underhook suplex, but Gaz Phillips fought back forcing Gates to beg off. Gates brought Phillips down with a hiptoss and hit an elbowdrop for two. Phillips choked Gates repeatedly, but Gates raked the eyes. Gates went for the Trojan Horse (a modified Muta lock), but Phillips blocked it. Gates floored Phillips with a clothesline and then executed a vertical suplex. Will Gates then put Phillips away with the Ctrl+Alt+Del (similar to a Hurricane DDT) for the win in his debut match.

Will Gates pinned Gaz Phillips with the Ctrl+Alt+Del in 0:11:41.

Ben Winter and Victoria Silvstedt were shown forcing their way into Hammerlock president Peter Abram's office. They were surrounded by a posse of road agents and officials.

It was time for the much-anticipated dream partner tag team match here on Hammerlock TV, a potential mat classic pitting the team of NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Title Jason Prentice and Television Champion Bryan Campbell against The Punisher and Devon Ferrari. This will serve as a preview for this Saturday's Back 2 School event, when Prentice defends the Heavyweight Title against The Punisher in a no time limit match and Campbell puts the TV Title on the line against Ferrari. In recent weeks, Campbell and Ferrari and of course Prentice and The Punisher have had their battles. What will happen tonight?

Match highlights:
Devon Ferrari used a neck snap on Bryan Campbell and hit an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Ferrari executed an Ocean Cyclone Suplex on the TV champ for two. Jason Prentice and Bryan Campbell tried to double up on Ferrari, but Ferrari took them both out with a double clothesline. Ferrari nailed Prentice with a slingshot dropkick. Jason Prentice dropped The Punisher with a swinging neckbreaker and a vertical suplex. The Punisher took Campbell down with a Frankensteiner and followed up with a Doctor Bomb for a near fall. Campbell locked in a dragon sleeper on The Punisher, but he made the ropes. Campbell then covered the groggy Punisher and got two and a half. The Blue Chipper went for the hold again but got kicked in the head. Ferrari hit Campbell with a flying dropkick and an STO. He then scored with a flying legdrop but Campbell had his foot on the ropes. The TV Champion took a breather at ringside but was then wiped out by Devon Ferrari's awesome running somersault plancha! Hammerlock TV then went to its final commercial break of the evening.

Back from the adverts and Devon Ferrari connected with a German suplex on Bryan Campbell for two. Campbell DDTed Ferrari and then Ferrari ate an elbowsmash. Ferrari kicked out of the subsequent pin attempt. The Punisher almost decapitated Campbell with a lariat and then he and Ferrari planted the Blue Chipper with a double vertical suplex. The Punisher picked up a two count on Campbell with a T-Bone suplex. The Punisher nailed Prentice with a clothesline and hit a legdrop. The Heavyweight Champion roared back, drilling Punisher with the Perfect Stranger for another near fall. Campbell executed the Chip Off The Old Block on The Punisher, but Devon Ferrari made the save. The bout completely broke down and the referee lost all control. The Punisher planted Campbell with a running power bomb for two. Ferrari nailed Campbell with a springboard legdrop. Then, almost simultaneously, The Punisher dropped Jason Prentice with the Total Punishment and Bryan Campbell blasted Devon Ferrari with the Chip Off The Old Block and the referee counted the concurrent pinfalls!!

[Dream Partner Tag Team Match]:
The Punisher and Devon Ferrari defeated Jason Prentice and Bryan Campbell when
Punisher pinned J. Prentice with the Total Punishment in 0:23:11.
Rating: *****

This was truly a dream match in every sense of the word. The Punisher and Devon Ferrari were victorious in what was unquestionably one of the greatest matches in Hammerlock history and take the advantage over their opponents with just five days before Back 2 School. Jason Prentice and Bryan Campbell slunk up the ramp and to the back to lick their wounds and nurse their hurt pride. The Punisher and Devon Ferrari celebrated in front of their rabid fans as Hammerlock TV went off air.

This is one of the most hotly anticipated supershows that Hammerlock has ever staged and there is so much on the line this Saturday night.

Jason Prentice will defend the Heavyweight Championship against The Punisher for the third and final time in a no time limit match. Prentice and The Punisher met at our last supershow Heatwave and the bout ended in a controversial double pin. Then two weeks ago they clashed again over the title and the match-up finished in an unsatisfactory forty-five minute time limit draw. Now that there is no time limit at Back 2 School, these men should have enough time to determine once and for all who really is the better man.

Bryan Campbell and Devon Ferrari will do battle on Saturday night over the Television Title in what is also the third meeting between those two men. Two weeks ago, The Blue Chipper invited everyone who wanted a shot at his title to enter the ring for an impromptu battle royal, with Campbell promising the winner a title match the following week. It was Devon Ferrari who emerged victorious in the gruelling twenty-minute dog fight, but afterwards Campbell double crossed him and gave him his shot at the gold there and then. Campbell defeated the fatigued Ferrari and retained the championship, but Hammerlock officials decided that Ferrari wasn't given a fair opportunity and promptly booked a rematch which ended in a 1-1 draw. Another rematch was signed for Back 2 School, much to the chagrin of the champion, in what will surely be Devon Ferrari's last opportunity to take the title.

Byson and Steve Bailey have been feuding all summer long in one of the most bloody, violent and out of control rivalries in Hammerlock history. At Heatwave, Bailey almost ended Byson's career when he refused to stop choking him with a steel chain. There is so much hatred between these two men that many have speculated it will only end when one man leaves Hammerlock for good. That's exactly what will happen on Saturday night, as the loser of their I Quit match will not only be quitting the match but also quitting the company. Byson has been perfecting a keylock submission hold to punish Bailey, while Bailey seems determined to beat the submission out of Byson. Nobody is certain about who will win at Back 2 School, but we do know that it will be brutal and that it will be the final time that we see one of these fierce superstars in a Hammerlock ring.

The Tag Team Titles are on the line at Back 2 School in a Ladder Match as La Cosa Nostra defend against Brandon Alvarez and Kyle Coulbourne, The New Young Lions. The Lions came up short at Heatwave, but only when the despicable Italians made it a handicap match when they took out Coulbourne's ankle with a ladder. That set up this ladder rematch between the two teams, with Majoli and Saronni taking the distinct advantage when they brutalised the challengers last week with a steel ladder. Although we can question the health and condition of the New Young Lions after that attack, we certainly won't be questioning the fight that they will bring on Saturday night.

Matt Sizemore has a score to settle with M.J. at Back 2 School. After Sizemore won his bitter feud over Anthony DeAngelo at Heatwave, he was set to get his hands on former manager Serenity when M.J. jumped him and bloodied him. M.J. was frustrated with his recent Hammerlock performances and took his aggravation out on Sizemore, a man that had defeated him twice. M.J. issued the challenge for Back 2 School, surprising many as he has been reluctant to lock up with Sizemore in recent weeks. Sizemore has vowed to shut the personal trainer up once and for all on Saturday night.

The situation between Mystikal and Kontraband is a puzzling one. Mystikal has been acting very strangely ever since he failed to wrestle the TV Title away from Bryan Campbell at Heatwave. Kontraband had his pin stolen by Mystikal last week in their tag team victory over The Aristocrats and that was apparently the last straw for Kontraband, who challenged Mystikal to a match at Back 2 School. This Saturday night, Mystikal now has the chance to make us believe all of his hype.

The Back 2 School card is rounded off by a potentially show-stealing four corners elimination match featuring Jawaid "2 Sleeq" Kaleeq, Hiro Kakuhari, Muerte de Antedicho and Ian Powers. This match will have a huge bearing on the TV Title rankings, so all four men will be desperate for the victory.

We hope that you will join us this Saturday night for Back 2 School. The card is loaded and the action will be off the charts - remember, Hammerlock rarely fails to deliver! Till then, so long everybody!!
