Three pictures of Huascar´s guns. The first two photographs show the two ten-inch Armstrong guns over the revolving turret, called "Coles Turret" in honor of its designer, British Captain Cowper Coles. The turret was operated manually and could give a 360-degree turn in 15 minutes. It was protected with heavy armor. After her capture by the Chileans, they adapted a steam system that made the rotation faster and smoother. At the bottom of the page, a .44 caliber Gatling gun with multiple barrels.
