A bargain had been seen.
The bargain had been bought, money sent, the bargain sent.
But bargains are not always bargains...
The 135/2.8 Elmarit-M (with specs, don't forget the specs...) didn't live up to it's specs...
It had been hammered, literally, I figured.
A dent on the hood seems to have seperated the balsam, quite picturesquely, around the perimeter of the two elements which are glued together.
I'm sure the incident also affected the specs, those marvels of rangefinding assistance which now indicate entirely innappropriate guidance for focus.

The lens will not be long for this world, of Stockport, England, the site and scene of this picture.

But what bokeh!
