Here is the story of the sign at the gate
January in the Cotswolds
On a wintry visit to my brother we went walking in the hills around his home in Winchcombe.
As we followed a footpath we arrived at a gate which declared that we should 'keep on the track'.
In the field, the track had disappeared. The way forward was unclear and we pondered our next move.
How many times are we presented with conflicting situations and how do we resolve them? Do we move forward with bravado or caution? Do we stay still and stagnate? Do we retreat for fear of offense or failure?
