This week, say hello to Chris Treweek. Chris is twelve years old and is the current 50m and 100m Derbyshire County breaststroke champion in his age group. Chris had the whole of Eckington Swimmng Club on the edge of our seats at the recent County Championships at Derby Queens Leisure Centre when he won the 100metres breaststroke in a time of 1.23.79 - an agonising 19 hundredths of a second outside a National qualifying time !! I think if the supporters on the balcony could have sucked him to the touch pads any quicker we would have done ! But we're all confident that he will achieve his National time next time around - good luck Chris, we're all rooting for you.
