When was the boycott?

The boycott was between 10:00:00 and 16:00:00 on Sunday 15th and 22nd August 1999. Although there is no intentions for another boycott in the near future please keep looking for any information regarding further action.

Aims of the boycott

The aims of the boycott were: 1. Better customer support 2. Faster transfer time from other Telecommunication companies 3. More lines for connections to Screaming.net 4. Faster response rate for adding extra line facilities 5. Cheaper technical support 6. Better online help for Localtel and Screaming.net 7. Responses to e-mails sent to Localtel 8. The answering of screaming.net lines that ring and are not answered. During the past couple of months or so, Localtel/Screaming.net have certainly improved in number 3, 4, 6 and 8 of the above. This is partially due to our action. Together we can make Localtel/Screaming.net better for us and get service we deserve. Let's just pray that localtel/Screaming.net keep this up.

May I also just take this opportunity to thank those of you who took part in the boycotts between 10:00:00 and 16:00:00. From the response I have had from people, the boycotts seems to have gone quite succesfully and also may I say that the second boycott was more successful than the first boycott. I am currently in the process of re-designing this website, I would appreciate suggestions on what should be included with it. PLease send any emails to d.moore@virgin.net
