KLEarthshaker
Kings Lynn, 12th April, Unlimited Bangers
Earthshaker
Just 15 cars for the annual
Earthshaker at the Norfolk Arena but we did managed a trio of top cars,
715 Mick Prince returned his Rover P5 while 85 James Ellis debuted a
Caddy Sevielle and 443 Dave Harvey brought out his rated and much
talked about Lincoln Town Car limo.
All out for the main race in which
Ellis used the Caddy to hit 311 Gary Lown over the front wheel before
110 Maddog assaulted the limo, Harvey recovering to lean in the leading
Prince allowing 617 Jack Overy through into a lead he wouldn't lose as
a train of Harvey, Ellis, 321 Andy Newton and 286 Paul Bailey went into
the Power Station bend fence and Ellis followed in Harvey on the
entrance bend. Newton and Ellis then went into the pit gate together
with Overy cruising to victory.
The Revenge(!) saw 97 Alge put 536
Annette Nicholls round into a marker tyre as Overy followed in Lown
well, Prince then firing 19 Joe Mullarky round as Annette took both
Alge and Prince in, Alge recovered to have his attacker out as 200 Noon
took the win this tme.
A 6 lap dash into DD was the last
race on program with Noon putting Bailey round first, this proving to
be the only action with Mullarky winning before we went into the DD
where Harvey, who had been waiting on the centre, backed out into the
traffic with Turbo obliging with a big t-bone to cave in the limo, Lown
also doing the Lincoln over the back wheel as Prince blasted Turbo and
Mullarky wasted Lown, Newton steaming the RDC man before being
slaughtered by a massive portion from Bailey who was inturn destroyed
by Noon with the latter having 98 Ronnie Bennett bury himself into the
Blooz Boy to end the mother of all jacking trains.
This ended a poor meeting overall but
what a way to end with a superb train that will be one of the best ever
seen and will take some beating this season.
