Big Damage for 300 Kirkys Tina after its 3rd meeting and a busted Stanza for 303 Scotty

A much better than last time 14 cars for this second domestic 2 litre bash at Barrow. Nothing of note on the car front, most were returns from elsewhere.

All out for heat 1 and 59 Marc Blower (Saab) hooked out 190 Tom Dawes (Sapphire) before being followed in by 159 Rick Gardner (Sierra). 325 Mark Dempster (Mk3 Granada) steamed Gardner for payback. A Five Car train developed on the home straight when 30 Doug Roberts (Mk3 Granada) turned 300 Dan Kirkbride (Mk5 Tina) with 175 Gary Mallinson (Sierra Est) steaming Addict, 231 Trevor Whelan (Sierra Est) into Mallo and 810 Alex McBain (Mk5 Tina) getting into the back of Grandad. 16 Rob Howard (Sapphire) having a stab at Rugrat before the train broke up. 300 Dog End had a go at 30 Addict by way of head on before rejoining and following in 303 Scott Dale (Stanza) and 190 Banjo. Dog End also putting himself in hard. 303 Scotty then did a couple of laps before Jacking the 300 empty Cortina. 16 Pob then repaid the hit by getting some air time in the back of Scotty. Team mate Banjo declining the offer to waste Pob. 231 Grandad put Banjo over the inner wall on his way to the win, followed home by Mallo.

Heat 2 saw no action due to the fact that of the 5 runners, 4 were Levellers. 190 Banjo was the only other and was dispatched to the infield on the first lap. 325 Demo taking the win.

The Final had 9 cars return. And although 6 were Levellers was to prove as entertaining as heat 1 and ask a few Questions.
From the off, Addict and Dog End reacquainted themselves and attracted Rugrat into the fray. Addict being turned around by the latter. 59 Blower hooked out running mate Demo as 300 and 30 continued with a couple of Head Ons before Addict set off on oppo, with Blower in hot pursuit. Rugrat wasn’t far behind Blower. At this point there were more cars going the wrong way round than those doing it right. Blower steamed Addict and Rugrat paid a visit through the Mk3s Passenger doors. Doug was even kind enough to jump out and push Rugrat free. 14 Will Walmsley (Chevette) Jacked 300 up big time. Blower returned to track in time to take a shot from 16 Pob, who then went on to put himself in. 265 Ian Wallace Jnr (Proton) Steamed Pob and Demo hooked out Waldo. Demo also going on to stop Pob before taking the flag and complete a Heat and Final double.

Not too bad a session with a question hanging over the Levellers. Is there a little unrest  in the camp?
