At Thames, John Chaundy was charged with cutting and wounding his stepfather, John Vernell, by stabbing him in the hand with a knife. - Prosecutor was not in attendence, and his wife stated that he did not intend to come to the court. - On Sunday a constable was called to 38, Bloomfield-rd., where prisoner was given into custody for stabbing his stepfather. The latter said they had been fighting and accused stabbed him. Chaundy denied having used a knife, and said prosecutor got his hand injured by smashing a window pane. - Remanded.
