This is the lake in Queen Mary's Gardens. To see it in April go to,the lake in the rose garden You can see that the month of September is the link between summer and autumn. The weather is often warmer and sunnier than June or August.Here you can see that the trees and shrubs are just beginning to change colour . ![]() The picture on the left is of The Holme, a villa in the park which is privately owned. The gardens are open to the public once or twice a year and this picture was taken when it was open in September 2001.For more picture of it in September and April go to "The Holme",
On the right you can see two of the many roses that are still blooming in September. For roses at other times of the year ( every month except April go to"Roses throught the year",
On the left is an almost abstract picture of trees by the big lake in Regent's Park. It shows the amount of green that can still be seen. For more pictures of this part of the park go toa walk along the lake
This is picture showing trees near the sports ground between the zoo and the lake. You can see that they are just beginning to turn autumnal.
This is another picture of the Rose Garden. You can see that one tree is already turning orange. You can see more autumnal trees at "November", .
On the right you can see another picture of trees on the lake . Regents Park has a wonderful variety of trees- Planes, poplars, Alders, oaks, hornbeams, cherries and chestnuts. Along the big lake and the small lake are several lovely willow trees. Below right is a picture of the lovely flowerbeds near the bandstand and Holme Green. Finally here is a picture I took of the fountain on the broad walk with two policewomen on horseback patrolling the park, If you walk north along the Broad Walk you will reach the zoo.If you walk south you will eventually come to the Avenue Gardens These are formal gardens with patterned flower beds , urns amd fountains and nearby is the more wild looking English Garden The Park in October
