I was fortunate enough to be at Dens when the Media Circus came to town on Thursday and mingle with the Press and Players. The event was the start of the build up for the forthcoming Semi-Final match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Hopefully this short article will give the fans a background look at what the players actually have to endure off the park, if concentrating on Football and the big game wasn't enough.
The Scottish Cup was also there to make a special appearance. Our multi talented Spanish speaking contingent were the one's most sought after initially. The press were desperate to try get their opinions on what they felt it would be like playing in a Scottish Cup Semi-Final.
Jonay of course has trained with the likes of Zidane and Figo so is used to seeing the Paparazzi. Though he did say he was most impressed with Roberto Carlos. Could this be the level of play Dundee can hope to see Jonay reach yet?
Nacho and Julian were more than glad to answer all questions aimed at them but wouldn't under estimate how important a game this would be to them, to boost their chances of playing in Europe next season. Though they also stressed that Inverness would also be thinking along the same lines so nothing could be taken for granted.

Whilst the players were being moved from pillar to post quite literally between the TV and Press media. I had an opportunity to take a few pictures of the commotion that followed all the players that were there.

During all of this the fringe players were giving their Support too, as the cries of "Speroni, Speroni, Speroni" rang out from the dressing room area along with a number of balls, as Julian made his way to the TV Camera.
It has to be said that Barry Smith the Team Captain was staying out of the limelight, whether this was due to his suspension or the fact he's the quiet man of football and doesn't seek the limelight, I can only guess, but he was there giving his support to his Team mates and I managed to get a photo.

I'd like to extend my warm thanks to all at Dundee Football Club who made this insight into the Semi Final build up possible. Especially all the Players and Management Team who never once complained of the continual requests for pictures.
All that's left for me to say is good luck come Sunday and I
hope to go through it all again before the Final.
