Born in England on the 15th. November 1885, Herbert Rawlinson sailed to
America to establish himself as a leading man in the silent movies before
making the transition as a character actor in the "talkies."He appeared
in over two hundred movies between 1911 and 12th.July 1953 when he died in
Los Angeles, California. His star on Hollywood Boulevard is a permanent reminder
of his success.
He was married twice: to Loraine Abigail Long (January 1st 1924) and Roberta
Arnold and had two children: David and Sally Rawlinson,the latter having been
a Paramount starlet. Her son David
