The Air Training Corps has over 46,000 member's nation-wide and aims to promote a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force and to foster a spirit of adventure. It develops the qualities of leadership and good citizenship. Each piece of training a cadet and officer receives is useful both in and out of the uniform. Although the Air Training Corps is not a recruitment agency for the Royal Air Force, many cadets choose a career in the service.
