As you are aware the Air Training Corps offers its cadets a wide range of activities. Here is just a basic list of what you can do as a Cadet, if yor interested in the activities here ask your Commanding Officer for further information.

Flying

Cadets in the ATC are given the opportunity to fly many different aircraft. In Air Experience Flights cadets will fly a Bulldog with an Instructor. They will get to enjoy the view, attempt to fly and if they wish some aerobatics.

Gliding

Cadets get the chance to glide on Air Experience Gliding flights and can also apply for one of three gliding courses open to cadets.

Shooting

Shooting in the ATC is optional. There is two types of weapon a cadet can shoot the .22 rifle and the L-98 rifle. Cadets can gain an ATC marksman for shooting 5 rounds inside an area similar to that of a two pence coin using the .22 rifle, and an RAF marksman when using the L-98 rifle.

Annual Camp

Each squadron will get the chance to take a group of cadets to a RAF station to visit for a week. These trips may be inside the United Kingdom or in other countries. While at the RAF base the cadets will get to visit sections, fly different aircraft and even do work experience.

Adventure Training

Cadet will get the opportunity to do a variety of adventure training from hill walking to mountain climbing.
