just a few notes to let you know what has been happening in my 'Growth'. I do not wish to go into the streets whilst dressed. I don't believe I could pass. I'm just happy attending TV friendly venues. It is a growth, however. With each venture out my confidence grows a little. Anyway.. Since my trip to Kentisbury, and my new found confidence, I decided I would attend the Beaumont Society meeting at Rotherham. I knew some friends were going to attend so I hoped to surprise them. Well in the afternoon I took my children to a football match, then after the game my wife and I, raced down to Rotherham. The function started at 7:30pm and we arrived there dead on 7:30. I asked the receptionist if there was changing facilities there and she showed me to a conferance room that was'nt been used, my wife was with me and I quickly got changed...about an hour later I was ready and took the keys back to reception. Then we enterered the function room, it was packed out, and they were half way through their meal so we decided to sit the meal out and sat in the foyer outside with the smokers. It was my wifes first exposure to TV's in real life. She was amazed at how nice most of the girls looked and remarked at what a nice bunch of people TV's were in general. After the dinner was over we went back into the function room and had a drink. I saw my friends, but I had frozen and was unable to approach them, I know that sounds silly and I was really embarresed about it. I'd only ever met them on the internet before, and there they were dancing on the dance floor, Sarah, Maria, Vanessa, Suzi and Jessica. they walked right past me and I could'nt even bring myself to say hello. At around midnight we set off on our journey home. Both my wife and I mocked our trip..and how we had atteneded a dinner/dance and had neither danced nor had any dinner. We stopped at a Motorway service station and paid over £10 for 2 sandwiches. I did confess to my friends when I next met them online that I was there at Rotherham. They were very understanding, but I felt as foolish as I possibly could. In february a real girl friend of ours came over to visit us all. I was only able to visit her in London for 3 days. So my wife and I set off on the Monday, we was to stop at 'The Philbeach Hotel' A gay, tranny freindly hotel in Earls Court in London. The car journey took forever because I was so nervous. I stopped at every motorway service station on the way down and very nearly on a couple of occasions turned round and went home. I did make it eventually and entered the Hotel. The receptionist there told me there was someone waiting for me in the lounge, who had constantly been asking if I'd arrived, It was Sarah. When she saw me she got up from her chair and came and gave me a big hug. It was such a wonderful moment and over far to quickly. My wife, Julie and I went to our room to unpack. The stress of the journey took its toll and we both fell asleep on the bed. When we awoke it was about 6pm and I began my dressing routine and soon I was Adele. We went down stairs into the bar. It was a TV night and there was a few other girls already in the bar. Julie and I sat at the bar and had a drink. We looked around the room, but there was no sign of our friends, we later found out they had gone out for a meal. Eventually they returned and we went to join them, there was lots of hugs and we had a great night. My confidence grew a lot that night. Unfortunately I was unable to get dressed again during my brief visit and that is now my last time out whilst dressed, but I know I'm going to do it again soon so watch this space! I have thought about Manchester, but I have also met another TV online who told me of a TV friendly pub in Sheffield. So I seem to have a few options open, so stay tuned folks!..... NEWS!!!! I have booked another holiday at Kentisbury Again....Then I'm hoping to go to 'Les Femmes' which is the TV friendly pub in Sheffield I mentioned earlier. I have plans beyond that too so I'll keep in touch.
